Ganu Kite – Part 3

Until today, I’ve never gotten the chance to personally view the end result up close. Or have a photo of me standing beside the oversized work of mine. Forget about going on board or having a ride around the city in one. Sigh. So, had to go through my old folders searching some photos that they had given me. The photo credits to Hedaco Travel & Tours.

Here’s another view of an earlier coach…

It does look good on the coach, well frankly, much better than expected. I was very glad they went with digital printout instead of letting some painters reproduced it free-hand. The ‘Bas Persiaran’ lettering kind of mess up the coconut tree shadows, though.

For obvious purposes, the same was replicated on their business stationery set as well.

For the business card, I maintained the proportion of the work & spread it over a number of cards instead of reduce the size to fit into each card. Otherwise, the details would be too small to notice & lose the appeal altogether.

There’s more…

On my own accord I’ve also produced a set of design for screen-print T-shirts. Well, it’s obvious by now that these — the beaches & T-Shirts — are things I enjoyed doing anytime.

After all, it’s common for tourists to bring back with them a souvenir or two. In Hedaco’s case, it seems like a great idea to try & sell T-shirts on board the bus while they’re travelling to a holiday destination. The potential customers are already in the ‘shop’ & not going anywhere at least for a couple of hours! And merchandise always makes good advertising too.

The artworks are ever ready to proceed for printing, though we’re still waiting for their first order…

The catchphrase ’Warm Malaysia, Warm Malaysians’ was originally intended for another T-shirt project which I already had in mind for some time then. I thought it fit well with the image for Hedaco to use as their tagline.

By the way, here’s a rough work on that other project (status: on hold indefinitely), quickly illustrated specifically for this posting …

Let me know what do you think of the idea? … *grin*

Now you know who to call whenever you want to visit Terengganu.
